The “bitumen-impregnated paper” insulation in the walls is missing or is already overmature in most of the old buildings. As a consequence the building owners often discover humidity problems caused by strong soil evaporation. The absorbed water dissolves the mineral salts from the different soil layers, carrying them into the masonry. During the evaporation the water brings the salts into the plaster. The water then disappears from the surface, leaving a large quantity of mineral salts behind. After the salts lose moisture, in the course of their drying their liquid state transforms into solid state, which takes place in a crystallization process (just as the freezing of the water). The crystallization brings about a volume increase and due to this the plaster begins to peel and the walls crumble. The salts accumulated in the plaster have a negative property: they adsorb the vapors from the air, a phenomenon, which can be observed by the owner through the fact, that the surface of the plaster is constantly damp. This process intensifies mainly in winter, because the wall is aired only inwards, which increases the air-humidity. The damp walls can be the cause of many diseases, like rheumatism, arthritis, asthma, allergies. Another problem is that the damp wall is heat-conducting, producing thus great heat losses inside the house and the owners have to reckon with high heating costs.

The installation technology:

The installation of this system always requires a preliminary diagnostic test, humidity measurement by means of a measuring instrument and planning. The installation takes place according to the plan carried out on the basis of the processed data, in the following technological order.
